Forget about Driving

With so many facilities on site for adults and children alike, there is little reason to leave our Devon campsite. So, why not:

  • Play in either of the two childrens’ play parks
  • Build dams in the stream
  • Go for a walk in the forest
  • Pick up Cycle Route No.27 and ride to Ilfracombe or on the Tarka Trail
  • See if you can spot the otter in the campsites stream
  • Do a bit of bird-watching; looking out for ducks, moorhens, swallows, buzzards and kingfishers as they soar, strut and swim about their day

Catch the Bus

Our Devon campsite is lucky enough to have a bus stop right at the site entrance and is served by two separate bus routes which run twice an hour! So why not leave your car or motorhome on site and take advantage of this brilliant service and explore North Devon and beyond? You can visit:

  • Ilfracombe and watch the fishermen unloading their boats
  • Barnstaple, where you can visit the many different markets held at The Pannier Market Halls
  • You could also travel to Westward Ho! and Bideford where you can visit the many bistros and bars whilst admiring the medieval bridge

Timetables for all bus services are available from the Tourist Information area in our campsite Reception.

On your Bike!

Fancy a day away from the caravan park? Why not take in the delights of Devon by pedal power. Take your bikes to Braunton, where you can ride the Tarka Trail to Meeth, using North Devon’s old railways. Over 30 miles long, this trail passes through the largely unspoilt Devon countryside, as it was described by Henry Williamson in his classic novel ‘Tarka the Otter’ first published in 1927.

The shop and restaurant/bar  have limited stock and opening hours during low and mid seasons.  If you require these facilities, please check before booking.
