- COVID-19 update
Updated Wednesday 10th July
We are trying to keep things as normal as possible on the park this year, but here is some important information.
If you or any of your party have had any COVID symptoms in the two weeks leading up to your holiday, or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms, have been told to self-isolate or are awaiting Coronavirus symptoms then please stay at home and we will postpone your booking.
For the NHS track and trace service, we need to have a record of names & contact numbers (for 21 days) for all members of your party. Please could you reply with this information before you arrive?
Upon arrival, please stay in your car, and phone us on 01271 813 837. We will walk to your car and give you instructions of how to get to your pitch. Please park on the left where the New Arrivals sign is.
This year, we can only accept arrivals between 12:30pm and 5:30pm. If you arrive after 5:30pm you will have to park in the carpark overnight, and check-in the next morning.
If you need any help reversing your caravan onto pitch, please phone us, and we will site your caravan using our vehicle. Please DO NOT ask or accept help from neighbours as this could cause problems with social distancing and spreading the virus.
Toilets & showers
All toilets and showers on the park will be closed for the duration of your stay. Toilet chemical emptying points are positioned around the park (Elm 3 and pitch 10 points will be closed). Please only use GREEN chemical and not blue chemical. We have green chemical available in our shop.
TV aerial cable hire
This year we will be unable to hire-out TV cables. However, we do have them for sale as usual.
Ice pack hire
Unfortunately, we are unable to loan ice packs this year. Although, we do have pre-frozen blocks for sale. We do not have a facility to freeze your own blocks.
We would normally allow your friends and family to visit your pitch, but because of the complications this causes for the Government track and trace procedure, we are unable to accept any non-booked visitors onto the park. This will be strictly policed on the park for yours and their safety.
All extra car's must be booked-in, and MUST be kept in the car park at all times. This is so that we can monitor any guests.
In line with the current law, you are only able to socialise with one other household at a time. This will be strictly policed on the park, and only two household will be able to pitch next to each other. This includes children socialising with other children.
Shop & reception
We can allow two families, or a maximum of six people in the shop and reception at a time.
We will only be accepting card payments in reception, the shop, cafe, bar and restaurant. We can supply change for the laundrette.
If possible, please wear a face covering for when using the shop, reception, cafe, bar and restaurant
Lakeside Café, Bar & restaurant
Our café, bar and restaurant are open as usual, albeit with tables further spread out in-line with Government regulations.
Our full menu is available to eat-in or take-away. Please call 01271 813 872 to reserve your table or place your order.
If possible, please wear a face covering for when entering the, cafe, bar and restaurant
Children’s play parks
The children’s play parks will be open, as usual. If there are more than two other families using the equipment, please if possible, wait until they have finished.
Please ensure all children are accompanied when using the play parks, going into the shop or cafe/bar/restaurant.
We hope you enjoy your stay, and we thank you for your support over the last few months. This has been a difficult time for everyone, and for us it's been a struggle keeping the park ready to open, with all our staff furloughed.
If you have any queries, please drop us a line.
All the best
Rich, Andy, Carol & Ray Legg
